Some time ago I posted about another giveaway from the amazing Gaea Cannady.
What I haven't said (because I felt kind of guilty for being this fortunate) is that I was picked (again) and won the wonderful beads.
I am used to her beautiful and delicate pastel colors, so I wasn't prepared to these bold and vibrant tones.
Just beautiful.
How am I going to do these beauties justice???
Already have an idea for the heart pendant, and maybe some beaded beads to get the ceramic ones some company.

Be Mine!
I'm starting to see little hearts floating around me.
Everywhere.
Valentine's day is approaching fast....so I followed those hearts and lead them to my shop.
One lied down on this bracelet
another one was closed into a beaded box
There's one dark, seductive heart
and another one bold and red
Just follow your heart.

I heart pink
October is the month of breast cancer awareness.
While I suggest everybody I know to donate their 5x1000 to cancer research, I can't anymore since I don't have a regular job right now. It's been on my mind for a while to create a pink section in my shop where I'll donate a percentage of my incomes to AIRC - the Italian Association for Cancer Research.
This piece in particular has been ready for about 2 years...
It has a double-face heart pendant if you want to support the cause in a more discreet way
This month I will donate 15% of incomes from every pink item in my shop to AIRC.
P.S.The finger you see on my t-shirt...is not a middle finger as it seems! It's actually a victory sign :D just in case...

Love is in the air
I've had this red components in my closet for a while and was looking to the perfect way to use them.
I just added orange jasper beads, some beaded can tabs, silver rondelles to add a bit of sparkle, and here it is:

I love this color palette and I think I was really love-inspired while making it!

So, whether it's love for your significant other or for your mommy, love will surely be in the air with this necklace!
In my etsy shop!

February 2012 EBW challenge
This month's EBW challenge is really lovely.
Nesting is what's on my mind almost every day since my tiny house is pretty small and messy, and I'm trying very hard to make it as comfortable and tidy as possible.
So my entry for this challenge came out naturally

I had a lot of fun making the nest, it's a plastic ring covered in RAW technique and then I made a circular peyote back for it.
I would have loved to put inside some 3D hearts, but even using the size 15 miyukis it was impossible to fit in 2 of them.
Please visit our team blog, http://www.etsy-beadweavers.blogspot.com between the 9th and 15th of February and vote for your favorite entry!

Custom order
I received a custom order just before Christmas.
Due to my job schedule and my trip home for the holidays, I had to start it very late and I'm still struggling to finish it in a couple of days.

It's a necklace with two beaded dolls (like this one) of Little Lulu and Toby and 2 beaded heart earrings.
I love the crocheted rope. I just hate the stringing part...
I had to re-start it from scratch 3 times because something in the pattern I had made wasn't ok; then I realized I needed an "upside down" pattern to have hearts in both the directions (which you can't see in the pic).
Now I just need to go on for 10 cm and then I'll have fun with the little dolls.
