Sometimes your eyes just need some rest from those tiny, naughty beads.
But that doesn't mean you can't keep on beading...
I made this pitaya bead with Pyssla beads from Ikea:
I had this huge jar of beads (a friend of mine was throwing it away!)and didn't know what to do, so I started experimenting...
I'm trying to make some sort of beach bag with these peyote triangles, and will make some more pitayas to decorate my balcony - and maybe recycle them on my next Xmas tree!
So if you want something different try them!
This is a really creative piece!
ReplyDeleteWow that's fantastic a very big Pitaya, good Idea and it looks great in pink and black.
ReplyDeleteYeah and it's very funny to make it!
ReplyDeleteThat is so COOL! curious to see the bag or beads rug, didn't know such beads exist. Very nice Pitaya.
ReplyDeleteI saw the peyote triangle project on Pinterest and had to find the original source. It's brilliant, in both color and design. Did you ever finish it? I'd love to see how it turned out.
ReplyDeleteThanks Carol!
DeleteActually I didn't because my hands hurt too much - you have to keep the thread tension even and it's pretty exhausting with such a thick thread.
But I promise I will!!!
